Dr. Cherice Roth

for School Board Position 1, Zone 1

Background: Mom, Veterinarian, Author

"Students deserve to have career days that include welders, plumbers, electricians, and mechanics celebrated - not just doctors, engineers and lawyers."

I am a Doctor, Mother and Children’s book author. I started off as a reduced/free lunch kid and a first-generation college student. Outside of working on access to veterinary care, you can find me in Boring with my farm animals, husband and sons who are Gresham Barlow School District students. In my free time, I participate in Boxer, Doberman, and Dachshund organizations.

STEM AND CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTEC)

Students deserve to have career days that include welders, plumbers, electricians and mechanics celebrated – not just doctors engineers and lawyers. I’ll advocate for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and career and technical programs (CTEC); Our economy and lifestyle need these important professions. It takes ALL of us to build a community we love.

REPRESENTATION & EQUITY

Students and school staff deserve to see themselves in positions that heavily impact their daily lives. I’m committed to the success of all students.

NEW LEADERSHIP/NEW VIEWS

I am a supporter of our public schools. I’ll bring new views to the school board and focus on listening to families who haven’t been adequately represented.
